NJ Sharing Network, the nonprofit organization responsible for the recovery and placement of donated organs and tissue for those in need of a life-saving transplant, hosted the Meadowlands Regional Chamber’s Monthly Networking Meeting today, April 19. Meeting guests were educated on the mission of the NJ Sharing Network and then heard from a heart and lung transplant recipient who now works at the organization. The guests were also informed of NJ Sharing Network working with the Meadowlands Liberty Convention Visitors Bureau to secure a bid to host the 2020 Donate Life Transplant Games.
Following the meeting, NJ Sharing Network offered tours of the 45,000 sq. ft. facility, which includes a state of the art transplant laboratory, a call center that handles 35,000 calls per year and a meditation garden that celebrates transplant recipients and honors those who gave the gift of life.
The meeting was sponsored by Meadowlands Regional Chamber members Prestige Employee Administrators and Felician University.
